Its power comes from a new understanding of organizations as living systems with their own vital energy, rather than simply mechanistic engines striving to meet their financial targets. Using the analogy between the human energy system and the organizational energy system leaders are able to understand and improve business excellence from a different perspective and improve the health and prosperity of their organizations.\nThis new way of thinking reflects a fundamental shift in business towards more sustainable ways of engaging people and husbanding our limited resources. Many organizations have not just suffered financial problems in the most recent recession; they face the deeper issues\nof lost trust and growing scepticism about their very purpose. They now need help to heal and prosper.\nIn this book we propose such a way, by moving beyond the old, narrow mechanistic models of organizations to a more fluid and systemic perspective of organizations and the environments in which they exist. We believe that we must raise our organizational consciousness. And, that we must learn to act with a more profound understanding of the interconnectedness of the modern business landscape.", "author": "Enric Bernal, Xavier Tarré, Joan Cos", "slug": "organizational-energy-7-pilars-of-business-excellence-130904-9780990568230-enric-bernal-joan-cos-xavier-tarre", "thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/9780990568230.jpg", "default_thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/default_book_thumbnail.jpg", "product_type": "book", "product_id": "130904", "product_url": "/app/ecom/book/130904/organizational-energy-7-pilars-of-business-excellence-130904-9780990568230-enric-bernal-joan-cos-xavier-tarre", "bisac_codes": [ "BUS071000", "BUS103000" ], "items_count": null, "identifiers": { "ISBN13": "9780990568230", "ISBN10": "0990568237", "EISBN13": "9780990568230" }, "drm": null, "cover_image": null, "default_cover_image": null, "book_type": null }, "relationships": { "lowest_offering": { "data": { "type": "offerings", "id": "00010015195855" } } } }, { "type": "Product", "id": "00010000130903", "attributes": { "name": "Zarin's Perfect World", "subtitle": "", "description": "Zarin's Perfect World. \nA blend of science and story for preschoolers. \nWizard Zarin journeys into space in search of a perfect home. So it takes place twice, so to speak, and there is a one-to-one correspondence between the two events. Within this conception, matter is embedded in space and time, and can be designated as container-principle. This monograph emphasizes that the well-known philosopher Immanuel Kant denied this principle and he stated that reality is principally not recognizable to a human being, and modern biological evolution seems to lead exactly to Kant's point of view. Within the theory of evolution, man's image about reality in mind does not have to be complete and true in the sense of a precise reproduction, and it is relatively easy to recognize that even space and time should not be elements of reality outside. Within this conception, only a certain part of reality, which the human being needs for mastering life, is projected onto space and time, and we come to the so-called projection principle. Then, spacetime defines the window to reality, leading to a number of exciting and essential questions, some of which are discussed in this monograph. As is known, current physics is mainly based on the container-principle. But this monograph proposes that the projection principle is obviously more suitable and could help to solve open-ended questions as, for example, in connection with the nature of time, the particle-wave duality, the cosmological constant, etc. Regarding the statistical behavior of matter, Einstein's statement God does not play dice has to be seen in a new light, but also Feynman's general viewpoint on quantum theory that it cannot be understood by man. However, conventional quantum theory is obviously not a consistent framework as per the projection principle. The term world equation is critically probed in this monograph.", "author": "Wolfram Schommers", "slug": "mind-and-reality-the-space-time-window-130898-9789814556798-wolfram-schommers", "thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/9789814556798.jpg", "default_thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/default_book_thumbnail.jpg", "product_type": "book", "product_id": "130898", "product_url": "/app/ecom/book/130898/mind-and-reality-the-space-time-window-130898-9789814556798-wolfram-schommers", "bisac_codes": [ "SCI027000" ], "items_count": null, "identifiers": { "ISBN13": "9789814556767", "EISBN13": "9789814556798", "EISBN10": "9814556793" }, "drm": null, "cover_image": null, "default_cover_image": null, "book_type": null }, "relationships": { "lowest_offering": { "data": { "type": "offerings", "id": "00010015039907" } } } }, { "type": "Product", "id": "00010000130897", "attributes": { "name": "SPANNING TREE RESULTS FOR GRAPHS AND MULTIGRAPHS", "subtitle": "A Matrix-Theoretic Approach", "description": "This book is concerned with the optimization problem of maximizing the number of spanning trees of a multigraph. In Believe in Yourself, Dr. Murphy shows you how the power of believing in yourself will help you achieve your dreams. He illustrates his points with wonderful stories about how inventors, writers, artists, and entrepreneurs have used this power to reach the highest of heights. By the end of the book you will have the tools for success. \"There are many men who quietly use the abstract term success, over and over many times a day until they reach a conviction that success is theirs. As a man repeats the word success to himself with faith and conviction, his subconscious mind will accept it as true of himself, and he will be under subjective compulsion to succeed.\" - Dr. Joseph Murphy", "author": "Dr. Joseph Murphy", "slug": "believe-in-yourself-rediscovered-books-130887-9781633844414-dr-joseph-murphy", "thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/9781633844414.jpg", "default_thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/default_book_thumbnail.jpg", "product_type": "book", "product_id": "130887", "product_url": "/app/ecom/book/130887/believe-in-yourself-rediscovered-books-130887-9781633844414-dr-joseph-murphy", "bisac_codes": [ "OCC019000" ], "items_count": null, "identifiers": { "ISBN13": "9781604597301", "EISBN13": "9781633844414", "EISBN10": "1633844412" }, "drm": null, "cover_image": null, "default_cover_image": null, "book_type": null }, "relationships": { "lowest_offering": { "data": { "type": "offerings", "id": "00010015213274" } } } }, { "type": "Product", "id": "00010000130886", "attributes": { "name": "Your Faith is Your Fortune (Rediscovered Books)", "subtitle": "With linked Table of Contents", "description": "Man can decree a thing and it will come to pass.
