It's a peculiar wish that requires Zoe to obtain a specific grave rubbing under the next full moon. Beneath the full moon, as charcoal clings to her fingers and guilt grips her heart, she longs to end the madness and return to Oxford. Yet she cannot ignore a gnawing compulsion to fulfill her mum's dying wish. With parchment in her hand the grave marker begins to glow. This experience sparks a change and disrupts everything she believes about her life-and life itself-when she meets the unearthly owner of the grave and his mysterious descendant. They convince her that she belongs to an ancient and covert society of archivists who interview the dead and record their histories. When these Host Writers begin to mysteriously disappear, it propels Zoe into a quest filled with secrets and murder as she flees from those intent on abusing the extraordinary powers of the Host Writers.
", "author": "W. Advances in wound-care products, surgical interventions, and social-support options create an often bewildering array of knowledge for healthcare practitioners.\n\nThis textbook opens with a focus on the core elements of effective wound management: an understanding of how wounds heal and what inhibits wound healing, rigorous assessment, use of outcome measures, evidence-based approaches to practice, and an understanding of how clinical research is done. Key aspects of wound-bed preparation and management - diagnostic investigations, assessment and management of non-viable tissue, infected wounds, dressings and technology, pharmacological therapy, and acute wounds are then elucidated. Optimal management of commonly-encountered wounds (venous leg ulceration, arterial and mixed arterial-venous ulceration, inflammatory ulcers, pressure injury, and the high-risk foot) and unusual wounds is described. The path to professionalisation of wound management in Australia is charted. The book ends with a list of wound care products (types, properties, uses, distributor-contact details).\n\nThe editors of and specialist contributors to this text have aimed to build on the foundations provided by the numerous basic, introductory-level textbooks in the field to provide an authoritative, comprehensive, and up-to-date textbook for wound managers who wish to further develop their knowledge and skills.", "author": "Terry Swanson, Margo Asimus", "slug": "wound-management-for-the-advanced-practitioner-181644-9780992518134", "thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/9780992518134.jpg", "default_thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/default_book_thumbnail.jpg", "product_type": "book", "product_id": "181644", "product_url": "/app/ecom/book/181644/wound-management-for-the-advanced-practitioner-181644-9780992518134", "bisac_codes": [ "MED034000" ], "items_count": null, "identifiers": { "ISBN10": "099251813X", "EISBN13": "9780992518134" }, "drm": null, "cover_image": null, "default_cover_image": null, "book_type": null }, "relationships": { "lowest_offering": { "data": { "type": "offerings", "id": "00010015017324" } } } }, { "type": "Product", "id": "00010000181642", "attributes": { "name": "Luther's Own: Brothers In All: Book 3", "subtitle": "", "description": "Betrothed? Suarez is of particular importance as a theorist of natural law and of rights, for his work combines expertise in moral theory with a mastery of civil and ecclesiastical jurisprudence and a sophisticated theory of the human person.

The bulk of the selections in this volume are from A Treatise on Laws and God the Lawgiver (1612), one of the major works of scholastic moral and legal theory, writes volume editor Thomas Pink. In the Treatise, working within the framework originally elaborated by Thomas Aquinas, Suarez presented a systematic account of human moral activity in all its dimensions, synthesizing the entire scholastic heritage of thinking on this topic and identifying the key issues of debate and the key authors who had formulated the different positions most incisively. Then he went beyond this heritage of authorities to present a new account of human moral action and its relationship to the law.

The second selection is from A Defence of the Catholic and Apostolic Faith (1613), a treatise on the errors of Anglicanism and, in particular, on the errors of King James I in relation to the power of the king in temporal matters and the power of the pope to intervene in the cause of religion. The selections in the final section, A Work on the Three Theological Virtues (1621), are taken from Suarezs accounts of faith and love, and they concern the conversion of unbelievers and the conditions of a just war.

The translations in this volume were originally published by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Now republished with a new introduction, revisions to some of the existing notes, and additional notes, these selections are again available in English for those interested in the ethical and metaphysical foundations of political authority and the right to liberty. The texts are of special interest to historians of religious liberty, toleration, and coercion as a classic account of the coercive authority in matters of faith and religious practice of the Catholic church.

Thomas Pink is Professor of Philosophy at Kings College London. Some of his publications include Free Will: A Very Short Introduction and The Will and Human Action: From Antiquity to the Present Day.
", "author": "Francisco Suarez", "slug": "selections-from-three-works-181641-9781614879114-francisco-suarez", "thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/9781614879114.jpg", "default_thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/default_book_thumbnail.jpg", "product_type": "book", "product_id": "181641", "product_url": "/app/ecom/book/181641/selections-from-three-works-181641-9781614879114-francisco-suarez", "bisac_codes": [ "REL051000", "PHI022000" ], "items_count": null, "identifiers": { "ISBN13": "9781614872658", "ISBN10": "1614879117", "EISBN13": "9781614879114" }, "drm": null, "cover_image": null, "default_cover_image": null, "book_type": null }, "relationships": { "lowest_offering": { "data": { "type": "offerings", "id": "00010015220055" } } } } ], "meta": { "pagination": { "page": 76380, "pages": 78413, "count": 1568246 } } }
