"description": "Elasticsearch is a distributed search server similar to Apache Solr with a focus on large datasets, schemaless setup, and high availability. Utilizing the Apache Lucene library (also used in Apache Solr), Elasticsearch enables powerful full-text search, as well as autocomplete \"morelikethis\" search, multilingual functionality, and an extensive search query DSL. This book starts with the creation of a Google-like web search service, enabling you to generate your own search results. You will then learn how an e-commerce website can be built using Elasticsearch. We will discuss various approaches in getting relevant content up the results, such as relevancy based on how well a query matched the text, time-based recent documents, geographically nearer items, and other frequently used approaches. Finally, the book will cover various geocapabilities of Elasticsearch to make your searches similar to real-world scenarios. ",

This book uses Cordova 5.0.0, Ionic CLI 1.5.0, and Ionic 1.0.0 to explain the concepts and build apps. To begin with, the book helps you understand where Ionic fits in today's world. Then, you will dive deep into Ionic CSS components and Ionic-AngularJS directives and services. You will also examine theming Ionic apps using the built-in SCSS setup. Next, you will learn to build an Ionic client for a secure REST API, where you will implement user authentication and token-based development. Cordova and ngCordova will be explored, and you will learn how you can integrate device-specific features such as a camera and Geolocation with an Ionic app. We will wrap up the book by building a messaging app, which deals with talking to Firebase (a real-time data store), as well as device features. By the end of this book, you will be able to develop a hybrid mobile application from start to finish, and generate device-specific installers. ",

As a matter of fact, WildFly 9 is a fully certified Java EE 7 platform and provides remote management tools, such as the redesigned Admin Console and the new and powerful Command Line Interface (CLI). With practical and accessible material, you will begin by learning to set up your WildFly runtime environment, and progress to selecting appropriate operational models, managing subsystems, and conquering the CLI. You will then walk through the different balancing and clustering techniques, simultaneously learning about role-based access control and then developing applications targeting WildFly and Docker. ",

To overcome these limitations, a concept called JavaScript promises is rising rapidly in popularity. Promises makes writing complex logics more manageable and easy. This book starts with an introduction to JavaScript promises and how it has evolved over time. You will learn the JavaScript asynchronous model and how JavaScript handles asynchronous programming. Next, you will explore the promises paradigm and its advantages. Finally, this book will show you how to implement promises in platforms used in project development including WinRT, jQuery, and Node.js. ",

Later when seriously ill she experienced a miraculous light bringing her healing, which set her on a path to find out the truth about these happenings. This book traces her development from an unquestioning working-class Catholic girl in a small Yorkshire coal-mining village to a woman hungry for knowledge. Her clairvoyant and clairaudient abilities developed naturally as she became aware of her 'dead' grandmother and her main guide Little Raven. With the appearance of her 'cradle to grave' protector she was to have many more amazing OBEs. A regular meeting with a group of friends turned into a physical mediumship circle and physical phenomena began to occur. Over the 20 years of working with the spirit world there have been many changes but the work is still ongoing and expanding. This is the story of that journey, told in the hope of encouraging others to try and 'embrace the spirit'.",

Frequently cited by legal historians, it has nonetheless remained inaccessible to readers unable to master its difficult Old French. Now, F. R. P. Akehurst presents the text's first English translation, making this vital component of the vernacular law of thirteenth century France available to a wide range of scholars.<br><br>A hybrid text, the Etablissements was probably compiled by a lawyer around the year 1273. The book takes its name from its first part, a set of nine ordinances of Louis IX giving the rules of procedure for the court of the Chatelet in Paris. The second part, made up of one hundred and sixty-six short chapters, is a collection of the customary laws of the Touraine-Anjou region; the thirty-eight chapters of the third section record the laws of the Orleans region. Whereas the Touraine-Anjou material presents a broad treatment of many aspects of the law, the Orleans customary reveals a preoccupation with problems of jurisdiction in a region where the king and local authorities were in sharp competition for power.</p>",

Derek Pearsall studies what Langland knew about Londonits geography, economics, and social lifeand the way his focus on the city shifted in the course of revising the poem. Kathryn Kerby-Fulton examines the conditions for authorship and publishing in late fourteenth-century England and uncovers evidence of Langland's struggles to attract patronage and maintain control over the text and circulation of Piers.<br><br>Anne Middleton's stunning chapter explores how the long shadow of fourteenth-century labor laws fell across Langland as he reworked his text. Ralph Hanna III examines the conflicting demands of manual and intellectual labor on the poet, while Lawrence M. Clopper uncovers the deep impressions that contemporary controversies about Franciscan poverty made on Langland and his life-work. She also fought to desegregate Cincinnati schools and to stop the introduction of observers in black voting precincts in Ohio. Her campaign to raise awareness of industrial toxic-waste practices in minority neighborhoods was later adapted into national Superfund legislation.<br>In 2012, Marians friend and colleague Dot Christenson sat down with her to record her memories.
