Jahrhunderts allmahlich ein im Ansatz geregelter Fachdiskurs zu entstehen beginnt, der epistemologisch mit Foucaults Begriff der \"Reprasentation\" zu beschreiben ist. Als ein besonderes Problem erweist sich dabei die Imagination, die, obwohl unabdingbar im Erkenntnisprozess, im cartesischen Sinn als eine prekare Instanz wahrgenommen wird. In der in Frage stehenden Zeit (ca. 1670-1730) werden diese Bedingungsfaktoren in der historiographischen Praxis, z.B. beim Antiquar Bernard de Montfaucon wie in der theoretischen Reflexion so genannter methodes einander vermittelt. Die Imagination wird auf ihr Evidenzpotenzial eingehegt, zugleich aber auch in ihrer konzeptuellen Kreativitat anerkannt. Jahrhundert", "description": "Pradestiniert durch ihre Geschichte als erstes Zentrum der deutschen Aufklarung mit transnationaler Wirkung, grundete die Martin-Luther-Universitat Halle-Wittenberg 1993 das Interdisziplinare Zentrum fur die Erforschung der Europaischen Aufklarung (IZEA). Zu den gegenwartigen Forschungsschwerpunkten gehoren die Fruhaufklarung, das Naturrecht, Kant, der Klassizismus, der internationale Wissenstransfer und die Gelehrtenkulturen sowie die neuen Schreibweisen, Asthetiken und Geschichtsdiskurse der Aufklarung. Die Ergebnisse dieser Forschungen werden seit 1995 in der Reihe Hallesche Beitrage zur Europaischen Aufklarung veroffentlicht. Hinzu kommen qualifizierte Arbeiten, die extern entstanden sind.
