"description": "Biomedical Chemistry provides readers with an understanding of how fundamental chemical concepts are used to combat some diseases. The authors explain the interdisciplinary relationship of chemistry with biology, physics, pharmacy and medicine. The results of chemical research can be applied to understand chemical processes in cells and in the body, and new methods for drug transportation. Also, basic chemical ideas and determination of disease etiology are approached by developing techniques to ensure optimum interaction between drugs and human cells. This Book is an excellent resource for students and researchers in health-related fields with frontier topics in medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry, organic chemistry and biochemistry.",

"description": "The book first explains the main properties of analytic functions in order to use them in the study of various problems in p-adic value distribution. Certain properties of p-adic transcendental numbers are examined such as order and type of transcendence, with problems on p-adic exponentials. Lazard's problem for analytic functions inside a disk is explained. P-adic meromorphics are studied. Sets of range uniqueness in a p-adic field are examined. The ultrametric Corona problem is studied. Injective analytic elements are characterized. The p-adic Nevanlinna theory is described and many applications are given: p-adic Hayman conjecture, Picard's values for derivatives, small functions, branched values, growth of entire functions, problems of uniqueness, URSCM and URSIM, functions of uniqueness, sharing value problems, Nevanlinna theory in characteristic p>0, p-adic Yosida's equation.",

"description": "This manual is designed for the use of hydrogen as a fuel in the fuel cells. The turn of the century has seen a realization of moving towards clean energy due to a variety of considerations ranging from global warming, anxiety to living in a healthy atmosphere, depletion of fossil fuels, oil slick in Gulf of Mexico resulting in disasters and so forth. Innumerable debates in the literature has led to the identification of hydrogen as the safest and efficient fuel over the other available fuels. This fuel can be used in two ways: a) direct combustion like gasoline and b) fuel cells. The use of it by the first method requires pure oxygen to be used for combustion; it is an expensive method involving oxygen storage and transportation. If oxygen is substituted by air in the combustion, it produces nitrogen oxides that are defying the definition of clean energy. The other method is to use it as a fuel cell for easy emission free transportation. Here chemical energy is converted to electrical energy directly in a fuel cell. To illustrate principles of related fuel cells, methanol and borohydride fuel cells are included in this manual. The nine experiments described here are designed for illustrating the concepts for the beginners and those motivated to go for clean energy.DVD displays the actual experimental set up and measurement procedures for Hydrogen safety; Fuel value measurement; Gaseous properties of hydrogen; Proton exchange membrane fuel cell assembly and Dissolved methanol fuel cell.",

"description": "<p>We the Students is a highly acclaimed resource that has introduced thousands of students to the field of legal studies by covering Supreme Court issues that directly affect them. It examines topics such as students access to judicial process; religion in schools; school discipline and punishment; and safety, discrimination and privacy at school. Through meaningful and engagingly written commentary, excerpts of Supreme Court cases (with students as the litigants), and exercises and class projects, author Jamie B. Raskin provides students with the tools they need to gain a deeper appreciation of democratic freedoms and challenges, and underscores their responsibility in preserving constitutional principles. Completely revised and updated, the new, Fourth Edition of We the Students incorporates new Supreme Court cases, new examples, and new exercises to bring constitutional issues to life.</p>",
