It would be one of the most valuable for the church in the Western World where anti-god and pro-evolution religions are beginning to explode, for it was written to refute those religions and show how they fail. Unlike most books on world religions, this title dives into the secular humanistic religions. The book starts with Gods Word as the absolute authority. In doing so, God becomes our guide to refute false religions.</p> Humanistic religions are all around us and we need to be able to spot their tenets and oppose them instead of allowing them to subtly infiltrate our Christianity and undermine us from within We need to know how to refute these humanistic religions We need to know how to effectively present the gospel to people who have been deceived by humanistic religions", "author": "Bodie Hodge, Roger Patterson", "slug": "world-religions-and-cults-volume-3-572732-9781614580393-bodie-hodge-roger-patterson", "thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/cover_image/9781614580393.png", "default_thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/default_book_thumbnail.jpg", "product_type": "book", "product_id": "572732", "product_url": "/app/ecom/book/572732/world-religions-and-cults-volume-3-572732-9781614580393-bodie-hodge-roger-patterson", "bisac_codes": [ "REL017000" ], "items_count": null, "identifiers": { "ISBN13": "9780890519707", "EISBN13": "9781614580393", "EISBN10": "1614580391" }, "drm": null, "cover_image": null, "default_cover_image": null, "book_type": null }, "relationships": { "lowest_offering": { "data": { "type": "offerings", "id": "00010015198089" } } } }, { "type": "Product", "id": "00010000572727", "attributes": { "name": "Phoenix", "subtitle": "Shimon Peres and the Secret History of Israel", "description": "\"The Jewish people doesnt know what it owes to Shimon Peres. Said David Ben-Gurion, Israels founding father. \nIndeed, the young Peres, operating in secrecy, was the builder of Israels military might. In Israels Independence war, he acquired weapons from all over the world, and later drew the plans for the conquest of the Negev.\n\nAppointed Director General of the Defense Ministry at the age of twenty-nine, he built Israels Aircraft Industry; later, acting against the advice and the derision of his colleagues, he convinced France to supply Israel with the weapons it so badly needed, and was the architect of the 1956 Sinai Campaign. In a secret agreement with the French Prime Minister, Peres obtained Frances help in building Israels nuclear reactor in Dimona and making tiny Israel a nuclear power. \n\nIn a fierce snowstorm he drove to Bavaria, and convinced the German Defense Minister to supply large quantities of weapons to the beleaguered Israel, free of charge. Then in 1976, when an Air France airliner, carrying more than a hundred Israelis, was hijacked by terrorists to Entebbe airport in Uganda, Defense Minister Peres planned with a group of generals the hostages rescue mission, that stunned the world.\n\nThus Peres earned his title of Mr. Security. But as soon as Dimonas nuclear power gave Israel invincibility, he felt that time had come to make peace with the Arab nations. He reached a secret agreement with King Hussein of Jordan, but it was thwarted by right-wing Prime minister Shamir. Refusing to give up, he signed the Oslo agreements with the Palestinian leaders, and established the Peres Center for Peace. Mr. Security had become Mr. Peace. Twice Prime Minister, twice minister of Defense, he became President of Israel in 2007. He died at the age of 93, in 2016.\n\nIn 2001, when serving as Foreign Minister, Peres met with Michael Bar-Zohar, the biographer of David Ben-Gurion. I am of the same age Ben-Gurion was when you started writing his biography, Peres said, and after what I did for the country I hope that Ben-Gurions biographer will be also mine. \n\nBar-Zohar, an author of 35 books of fiction and non-fiction, a professor of political science and a former member of the Knesset, spent several years writing this book, that was completed after Peress death.", "author": "Michael Bar-Zohar", "slug": "phoenix-572727-9781630640460-michael-bar-zohar", "thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/9781630640460.png", "default_thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/default_book_thumbnail.jpg", "product_type": "book", "product_id": "572727", "product_url": "/app/ecom/book/572727/phoenix-572727-9781630640460-michael-bar-zohar", "bisac_codes": [ "BIO006000", "BIO011000" ], "items_count": null, "identifiers": { "ISBN13": "9781630640477", "EISBN13": "9781630640460", "EISBN10": "1630640468" }, "drm": null, "cover_image": null, "default_cover_image": null, "book_type": null }, "relationships": { "lowest_offering": { "data": { "type": "offerings", "id": "00010015226453" } } } }, { "type": "Product", "id": "00010000572720", "attributes": { "name": "Emergency Pediatric Surgery, An Issue of Surgical Clinics", "subtitle": "", "description": "This issue of Surgical Clinics of North America focuses on Pediatric Surgery, and is edited by Drs. The volume is divided into two parts the first on theory and the second on methods and applications. The two chapters in the first part of the book respectively address commodity storage and the concept of convenience yield, and how the management of real options can be impacted by the trader's own market decisions in the context of commodity shipping. The four chapters in the second part of the book propose and apply real option models in various domains modeling the evolution of futures prices of emission certificates; managing copper extraction illustrated with an application to a project at Codelco, Chile, the largest copper producer in the world; the core ideas behind real option analysis in the context of the merchant management of hydrocarbon cracking operations; and optimizing the portfolio of contracts that oil refineries use to market their gasoline production.", "author": "Nicola Secomandi", "slug": "real-options-in-energy-and-commodity-markets-572689-9789813149427", "thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/cover_image/9789813149427.png", "default_thumbnail_image": "//redshelf-images.s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/thumbnail/default_book_thumbnail.jpg", "product_type": "book", "product_id": "572689", "product_url": "/app/ecom/book/572689/real-options-in-energy-and-commodity-markets-572689-9789813149427", "bisac_codes": [ "BUS087000" ], "items_count": null, "identifiers": { "ISBN13": "9789813149403", "EISBN13": "9789813149427", "EISBN10": "9813149426" }, "drm": null, "cover_image": null, "default_cover_image": null, "book_type": null }, "relationships": { "lowest_offering": { "data": { "type": "offerings", "id": "00010015023854" } } } }, { "type": "Product", "id": "00010000572688", "attributes": { "name": "MULTI-STAKEHOLDER DECISION MAKING FOR COMPLEX PROBLEMS", "subtitle": "A Systems Thinking Approach with Cases", "description": "In the complex world of today, important policy and business decisions are still made with a 17th Century reductionist mindset and approach. Yet, complex challenges such as climate change, poverty, public health, security, energy futures, and sustainability transcend any single science, discipline or agency. Rather, they require integration of social, economic, cultural, political, and environmental concerns to achieve acceptable and sustainable outcomes. This entails synthesis of diverse knowledge and perspectives in a transparent and unifying decision-making process, engaging stakeholders with competing interests, perspectives, and agendas under uncertain and often adversarial conditions.Multi-Stakeholder Decision Making for Complex Problems A Systems Thinking Approach with Cases brings together a unique self-contained volume to address this challenge. The book introduces the systems approach in non-technical language for multi-issue, multi-stakeholder decision making supplemented by numerous case studies including business, economics, healthcare, agriculture, energy, sustainability, policy, and planning.
