Imagine waking up one morning and not knowing anything. Recognition would be your only ability.
As you wake up, you realize that you are able to recognize. Then, you recognize that there is existence, and that you are a part of it, too. Only with such tiny steps, could you move ahead on the path of knowledge. Imagine what absurd situations it could cause, if you didn’t know what to do with anything, and you had to start learning everything from scratch. You wouldn't even know the names of the human body parts, nor their functions! You wouldn't know what to eat with, what to eat, even how to eat, at all! How long would it take for you to get from absolute zero to the same level you are currently at right now, when reading this book synopsis? Probably decades! But the protagonist of this story is not like you. He also woke up the above-mentioned way, but he has an ability which, in that particular case, you wouldn't have. The people that are using (and take advantage of) him, weren't prepared for this ability: He may start learning from scratch, but they don't know how fast he's able to learn. How long does it take for the protagonist to reach the intellectual level of a child from absolute zero? Or to reach the intellectual level of an adult, if he's able to learn a lot faster than any human being? What if he develops into something more than an ordinary man? Or more than any man? What will he become then? Will we still be able to control him? Should we, at all? Will he be our friend, or our enemy?
