Additional Book Details
Law students want and need bar-style resources to increase their chances of success in class and on the bar exam. Most existing materials are inadequate because they either provide comprehensive coverage in non-bar-style formats or use bar-style formats but dont provide comprehensive coverage.
This book was written to fill this gap. It provides bar-style multiple choice questions that can be used formatively for students enrolled in a law school criminal law class. As the questions follow the format used by the National Conference of Bar Examiners on the Multistate Bar Exam, students who use this book will simultaneously learn criminal law and develop bar exam skills.
The first half of the book is divided into three sectionsIntroductory Concepts, Crimes, and Defensesand each section has multiple chapters. Each chapter begins with questions addressing basic concepts and definitions, followed by questions raising common variations and crime-specific defenses. Collectively, the questions in this book track the topics covered in most law school criminal law classes. The second half of the book consists of answers for each question. The answers are concise and rule-based, so students can refer back to their casebooks for more detailed information.
Students and professors who use this book will also be interested in Core Criminal Procedure: Learning Through Multiple-Choice Questions, which provides similar coverage and treatment of constitutional criminal procedure.
